Most people get excited about games, but I’ve got to be excited about practice, because that’s my classroom.

 Coach Mary grew up in Bellevue and graduated from Interlake. She played softball and basketball throughout high school and basketball at the collegiate level. After receiving her degree in Recreation Management, she soon realized her passion for working with youth. She's worked for organizations such as the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, City of Bellevue and Seattle Parks and Recreation. She currently works as a Para Educator at Chinook Middle School and coaches a local AAU girls basketball team. She's been coaching youth and adult sports for more than 25 years. In the late 90’s she pursued managing, coaching and playing Women’s Slow pitch softball and playing competitively for the next 15 seasons. In 2014 she finally “hung up her cleats” to focus on coaching and training basketball athletes. In her free time she loves to travel, enjoy outdoor recreation, play sports, play with animals and most importantly spend time with her family.
